Grant Applications

Through investments in our grantees, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation seeks to improve the health and health care of all Americans. In 2007, we awarded approximately $480 million in grants that fell within seven program areas.

Calls for Proposals
RWJF awards most grants through calls for proposals (CFPs). All seven program areas issue CFPs from time to time.

Unsolicited Proposals
Three program areas—Building Human Capital, Pioneer and Vulnerable Populations—also accept unsolicited proposals. RWJF accepts unsolicited proposals in these areas at any time and issues awards throughout the year. There are no deadlines.
