Sunflower Farmers' Market Offers Childhood Obesity Back-to-School Events

Sunflower Farmers’ Market will host a series of fun and healthy back-to-school events for children and families at its 26 stores across five states during the month of September, Natural Products Marketplace reports. The KICK childhood obesity campaign is designed to help kids live, eat and play healthier. As part of the free events, participating children will be asked to pledge to eat healthy and exercise this school year by marking a banner to be hung in each Sunflower store with their hand prints. At the end of the month, the banners will be sent to the White House for the president and first lady. (Natural Products Marketplace, 9/11/09; Sunflower Farmers Market release, 9/11/09).
