Marco Navarro, M.A., is a program officer for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. His work on the Vulnerable Populations Portfolio includes a major grant to improve early childhood development outcomes in Trenton, New Jersey. He also manages the Foundation’s special grantmaking activities in Central New Jersey. Prior to this, Navarro was a financial officer at the Foundation for five years before being promoted to program officer. Before joining RWJF in 1995, he worked for ten years managing community development programs, including the production of affordable housing projects and the growth of a community-owned credit union in Newark, New Jersey.
Navarro served as a public commissioner of the New Jersey Urban Enterprise Zone Authority for 15 years.
Navarro earned an M.A. in city and regional planning from Rutgers University and a B.S. in business administration from Seton Hall University.
