Researchers measured counties on 25 health factors, including high school graduation rates, obesity, smoking, family and social support and other factors affecting health.

Recognizing Innovative Solutions for healthier communities
These six communities are creating a culture of health in their backyards. They were selected in 2013 from more than 160 applicants for their innovative strategies.
Applications are now closed for the 2014 Roadmaps to Health Prize. Winners will be announced in June 2014.
