Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice

Nurse Practitioners in all 50 states and the District of Columbia hold some degree of prescriptive authority. NPs in 11 states may prescribe drugs independently without physician involvement. The remaining states allow NPs to prescribe drugs with ranging levels of physician oversight.
