Three Nurses Among 2012 RWJF Community Health Leaders
In October, RWJF recognized 10 extraordinary men and women who are overcoming daunting odds to improve health and health care in disadvantaged or underserved communities. Three of the newly named RWJF Community Health Leaders are nurses: Debbie Chatman Bryant, who is caring for medically underserved cancer patients in S.C.; Ifeanyi Anne Nwabukwu, who is helping African immigrants battle breast cancer in Md.; and Darleen Reveille, who is helping families in a financially distressed part of N.J. adopt healthier lifestyles.
