The Foundation's program, New Jersey Health Initiatives, was designed to support projects in New Jersey that develop new approaches to resolving the state's health care needs, focusing on the Foundation's goal areas.This project is a community health education program to increase access to primary care for approximately 15,000 economically disadvantaged Hispanics in Morris County. The objectives are: (1) create a culturally sensitive collaborative health education program using 45 trained volunteer health promoters; (2) organize support groups among those seeking primary care; and (3) create a resource center focused on the health needs of the economically disadvantaged.
