The Foundation's program, Developing Leadership in Reducing Substance Abuse, was designed to provide leadership development through mentoring for individuals who are early in their careers yet have shown the potential to become future leaders in reducing the harm caused by substance abuse through public health approaches.This grant supports technical assistance and direction for both the Foundation's Developing Leadership in Reducing Substance Abuse program and its Innovators Combating Substance Abuse program which is designed to build prestige and foster innovation in the substance abuse field by rewarding and nationally recognizing up to five senior innovators per year who have made and have the potential to continue to make a significant impact in the field of substance abuse.
