The Foundation's program, Policy Advocacy on Tobacco and Health: An Initiative to Build Capacity in Communities of Color for Tobacco Policy Change, was designed to provide resources for community-based organizations and tribal groups interested in implementing effective tobacco prevention and cessation policy initiatives. This grant supports the management of technical assistance and training to ten minority-led, community-based organizations to work on tobacco policy change. The National Program Office will serve as a resource to the entire tobacco control field on issues of diversity that cut across ethnic groups, and advance new policies, models, and tools that will be applicable throughout the field.
