The Foundation's program, New Jersey Health Initiatives, was designed to support projects in New Jersey that develop new approaches to resolving the state's health care needs, focusing on the Foundation's goal areas.The Jewish Renaissance Foundation submitted a full proposal for an obesity reduction project in the New Jersey Health Initiatives 2003 grant cycle that would involve expansion of services at its Perth Amboy High School school-based clinic. This one-year planning grant provides support for developing a program to assist adolescents in developing new lifestyles. Cultural norms will be addressed since the High School student population is 95 percent Hispanic.
