Evaluation of school and day care obesity prevention policies in Delaware

This project enhances Nemours Health and Prevention Services (NHPS) contribution to the available evidence, addressing the need for policy-related obesity prevention evaluation, while simultaneously improving outcomes for children in Delaware. Foundation funds will allow NHPS to enhance their existing evaluation strategy as it relates to the work in the school and childcare sectors as well as increase communication and dissemination of evaluation findings in conjunction with the Foundation's Childhood Obesity Communication Team. Foundation funds will be used to enhance both the quality and depth of NHPS' evaluation efforts, ultimately contributing to a better understanding of what works, what does not work, and what else is important to understand in the area of policy change aimed at obesity prevention for children, particularly in the school and childcare sectors.
