The purpose of this project is to explore legal issues that are likely to arise around reform of the nation's health care system. The first of the project's three phases convening a diverse group of legal experts to identify the issues is under way. The deliverables comprise the second and third phases: production of papers analyzing the issues and dissemination of those papers to high-level policy makers, including congressional staff and the incoming executive branch. The goal of the project is to ensure that resolvable legal questions are not cast as insurmountable barriers to national health care reform.
