Monitoring the impact of Massachusetts' health care reform on residents' insurance status, access to and use of care, and out-of-pocket spending: 2008

This grant supports the design, administration and analysis of a survey of 3,000 adults in Massachusetts to assess the impact of the state's health care reforms on insurance coverage and access to care. This is the third and final round of the survey. The initial survey established baseline estimates of pre-reform measures. The second provided results of the reforms in 2006 and 2007, demonstrating significant improvements across crucial coverage and access dimensions. This round will assess whether that success continued into 2008. The project will produce a series of reports and/or journal articles, a publicly available dataset and dissemination activities including Web-based presentations of findings, panel discussions and press briefings
