The Foundation's program, Healthy Eating Research: Building Evidence to Prevent Childhood Obesity, was designed to support investigator-initiated research to identify and assess environmental and policy influences with the greatest potential to improve healthy eating and weight patterns among the nation's children.The Health Eating Research National Program Office will carry out a range of activities for year 5, including: releasing and managing review processes for three calls for proposals; soliciting, reviewing and producing targeted commissioned papers, research briefs and syntheses; ongoing efforts to connect with policymakers, advocates and other end-users; collaborative partnerships with other RWJF programs and other funders; field-building activities, such as the the program's 4th Annual Grantee Meeting, grantee working group coordination and technical assistance; ongoing program evaluation activities; and preparing and submitting a reauthorization proposal to continue the Healthy Eating Research program from 2010 to 2015.
