This grant will provide continued funding for the Urban Institute to conduct "quick-strike" policy research and analysis on issues related to expanding and maintaining coverage during the health reform debate and in the early stages of implementation. The project will maximize the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's flexibility and ability to move quickly to support the debate over the design and implementation of national reforms. The institute will produce approximately eight to ten reports and briefs during the six-month project. The Foundation will strategically disseminate these deliverables to maximize their impact in the policy community. A small part of the grant will also support the ongoing development of the Urban Institute's Health Insurance Policy Simulation Model (HIPSM).
