This project will produce information that can inform and refine implementation strategies driving the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action. Through a series of research activities, an interdisciplinary research team will gather information from a range of stakeholders to better understand the existence and evolution of obstacles to and opportunities for progress toward implementation of the Institute of Medicine's nursing recommendations, synthesize this information, make strategic recommendations to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and produce data for a summative evaluation. Specifically, this research team will develop a series of three targeted reports; conduct monitoring of longitudinal data; and provide monthly updates to the Foundation as it proceeds with implementation. This team will also develop four to six papers for publication.
