This grant funds the planning of site visits in 8 of the 10 states selected under the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's State Health Reform Assistance Network . The site visits, which will be conducted in 2012, will reveal how communities, including health plans and employers, are preparing for national health reform. They will also establish a baseline for future studies of the landscape once reform is implemented. Activities during the planning period will include assembling the project team; selecting the study communities and gathering background information on these markets; identifying key research questions and topics to cover in the interviews; establishing a process for the project; and designing templates for written products.
