The Foundation's initiative, Aligning Forces for Quality: The Regional Market Place, was designed to help communities across the country align health care forces to improve the quality of health care. This project (the Legal Barriers Project) will continue to create resources for legal analysis to address a range of legal matters related to value-based purchasing, health information, and health-system reform aimed at quality, efficiency and information transparency, while continuing to support Aligning Forces for Quality. The project will develop a new Health Information and the Law website to collect, curate and manage the legal analyses created by this project. It also will (1) produce five major issue briefs; three issues of short analyses, called Legal Notes, designed for Aligning Forces; four oral briefings for Aligning Forces or Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) staff, or possibly a wider audience, through webinars or conference presentations; and (2) provide ongoing support to the Aligning Forces national program office and RWJF staff, as requested; and continuing research and analysis for the Health Information and the Law website.
