This study compared antidepressant use among Latinos and Whites, using data from a nationally representative survey of the adult population.
The authors found that fewer Latinos with 12-month depressive or anxiety disorders report antidepressant use when compared with Whites. This trend was not explained by access to care or need. The sample seemed to largely reflect Mexican-Americans.
