This study examined the role education and genetic ancestry play in predicting blood pressure (BP) among African Americans, looking at both within-group relationships and between-group relationships. The study confirms the finding that genetic ancestry is not associated with BP.

Production of Germline Transgenic Prairie Voles (Microtus ochrogaster) Using Lentiviral Vectors

Prairie voles and other outbred rodent species are free of the physiological limitations of inbred laboratory mice and rats. This article describes the creation of the first transgenic prairie vole using a promising genetic technology, lentiviral-mediated gene transfer.
