The San Francisco partnership created the first-ever plan to improve community-based aging services. A coordinating council reporting to the mayor guided implementation, including bringing aging services into public housing and influencing policy.

Ten percent of U.S. high school students experience dating violence. This study investigated whether Boston high school students had committed various types of physical abuse against their boyfriends and girlfriends the study also examined violence committed against siblings and peers.

In 2004, the Brookline Community Mental Health Center and Brookline High School established the Brookline Resilient Youth Team. It provides counseling and academic help to high school students who are re-entering school after a personal emergency.
