West Virginia Healthy Lifestyles Act of 2005

In 2005, West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin III signed into law House Bill 2816--the Healthy Lifestyles Act--to help address the state's obesity epidemic. The evaluation was conducted in 2007 by a team from West Virginia University Health Sciences Center and was supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Assessing the Role of Health e-Technologies in Advancing the Future of eHealth

This report explores the goals of RWJF's Health e-Technologies Initiative: Building the Science of e-Health (HETI), which included expanding the body of knowledge about the efficacy, costs, cost effectiveness and overall quality of e-health applications currently in use for health behavior change and chronic disease management, and the expansion of the body of knowledge about how to evaluate, compare and improve them.
