When Massachusetts policy-makers sought to implement near-universal coverage in the spring of 2006, the occasion was marked with a range of opinions on the likely outcome of the sweeping initiative.
As the years go by, we learn more and more about how the New England experiment fares, as bright ideas and ideals come face to face with cold market realities. Would costs become unwieldy? We offer research and analysis of the Massachusetts reform in numerous publications and RWJF-supported journal articles.
