Application Process

The application process will launch on February 29, 2012.

There will be a Q&A Conference Call at 2 pm ET on March 28, 2012. To register for the call, send your name, organization, and email address to pattersonaward@rwjf.org.

Application Help

Here are some suggestions for completing your application:

1. Provide detailed numerical data about the impact of each of your programs. For instance, if you have an after school program, talk about the number of kids enrolled and how many years it has been in existence.
2. Details, details, details…it can’t be stressed enough. Talk about the deep impact you are having on the community.
3. Stress collaborative efforts between your group and other organizations.
4. If you are highlighting multiple programs that you have, make sure to talk about how they all work together.
5. Be sure to decipher between community relations programs and foundation work if you are talking about both.
6. Don’t leave a question blank.
7. It helps if you have a narrow focus. Be sure to emphasize that particular point.
8. A lot of teams do league mandated programs which are great but be sure to talk about your unique initiatives that make you stand out from others.
