Proven interventions such as taxes on tobacco products, smoke-free air laws and prevention and cessation programs are helping reduce tobacco use among both youth and adults. But research reveals gaps and points to areas where more progress is needed.

Data shown in these slides chronicles the growth in smoke-free air policies, the potential health and economic impacts of tobacco taxes, and health and income variations in states with stronger versus weaker tobacco prevention policies.
